The safety and security of all our customers has always been, and continues to be, at the forefront of all that we do.
Our products are tested and conform to ABE/KBA (EU), FMVSS-106 (US), Dekra (EU) and to DOT (US). We as a company have extensive drawings and testing materials from all of these authorities to attest to the quality of our products.
Under the new General Product Safety Regulations certain requirements must be met so that consumers within the EU have a direct contact based within the EU to allow them to contact this individual or company directly with any GPSR issues.

Regulations
We have outlined some of the major articles of the Regulations below and show how HEL Performance conform to these requirements:
Article 5
General safety requirement: As an economic operator we shall only place or make available on the market safe products.
Article 6
Aspects for assessing the safety of products: When assessing whether one of our products is a safe product, we take into account the characteristics of the product, including its design, technical features, composition, packaging, instructions for assembly and, where applicable, for installation, use and maintenance. Installation instructions are included both with the products and also available online.
We assess the following additional aspects:
- The effect on other products, as our parts can act as the conduit between other items (e.g., calipers and master cylinders).
- The effect that other products might have on our products, where reasonably foreseeable.
- Presentation, labelling, warnings, and instructions for safe use and disposal. For example, after use, products contaminated with brake fluid should be flushed before disposal.
- The suitability of our products for various consumer groups, including individuals with disabilities, and their safety implications.
Article 7
Presumption of conformity with the general safety requirement: Our products conform and have been independently tested to relevant European Standards, including ABE/KBA (EU) and Dekra (EU). HEL Performance is annually assessed and certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 by an independent agent.
Article 8
Additional elements to be taken into account for assessing the safety of products:
- Our products conform to both EU standards (ABE/KBA, Dekra) and International Standards (DOT, FMVSS-106, ADR, NZTA).
- We voluntarily submit our Quality Management System for independent annual verification.
- We adhere to applicable national standards in the EU and UK, employing external scientific bodies for specialised testing when needed.
- Our products enhance consumer safety and are proven in demanding environments, including major racing series worldwide.
